Cara Coirp, Friend of the Body

Cara Coirp, Friend of the Body is a collection exploring the often-tumultuous relationship between the mind, spirit and body. After years of suffering from body dysmorphia and how it impacts the way one dresses, Conor explores the idea of alternative silhouettes, in beautiful natural fabrics, to celebrate the overlooked areas of the body through organic, billowing shapes in different places. The collection features cotton poplin, cotton organdy, native Irish Galway wool hand-knits and cotton moleskin.

Launched in 2023 for the National College of Art & Design in Dublin as part of Conor’s degree work at Dublin Castle and in the Dublin mountains
