Conor O’Brien is a multidisciplinary designer living and working in Dublin, whose practice spans fashion, textiles, sewing education and material culture.
At just 20, Conor started his practice in 2021 while studying Fashion Design BA at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin, and established his label before graduating with a First Class Honors in 2023.
Conor offers a range of bespoke Aran knitwear catered to each individual client in the best of natural fibers Ireland has to offer, as well as creating one-off bespoke pieces for conceptual fashion collections, with the launch of his debut collection Phantom Thread at the Royal Society of Antiquaries in Dublin in September 2025.
As well as an avid hand-knitter himself, Conor operates on a mentality heavily inspired by the cottage industry tradition in Ireland, by working with and engaging artisanal hand-knitters across Ireland to help produce his iconic contemporary knitwear.
Conor aims to conserve Ireland’s rich textile heritage by creating wearable clothing that offers dignity to the garment worker with fair pay, dignity to the environment with natural fibres, and dignity to the wearer with a unique style.
